FLUTE

Etni Molletones Is a Venezuelan flute player, He began his musical studies at the age of 9 years at the Conservatory "Blanca Estrella de Méscoli" in Yaracuy. In that same city he also began to be part of the Symphony Orchestra at the age of 13 years. Then he continued his studies at the Simon Bolivar Conservatory and then graduated from the Central University of Venezuela.

At the age of 16 he began to be 1st Flute in the prestigious Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, where he was lucky to be directed under the baton of great directors such as: Claudio Abbado, Lorin Maazel, Sir. Simon Rattle, Daniel Barenboim, Frühbeck de Burgos, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Nikolaus Hanonkurt and Gustavo Dudamel with whom he made numerous international tours playing in prestigious venues such as: Philharmonie in Berlin, Konzerthaus in Vienna, Salle Pleyel in Paris, Teatro Alla Scala in Milan, KKL Luzern, Royal Albert Concert Hall in London, Carnegie Hall in New York, Walt Disney Concert Hall among others. He has also had the privilege of accompanying great international soloists such as: Martha Argerich, Lang Lang, Yuja Wang, Albrecht Mayer, Cecilia Bartoli, Anna Larsson and others.

At the same time, he had the privilege of sharing concerts with prestigious orchestras such as L.A Philharmonic, Royal Stockholm orchestra and was also the main flute of the Ibero-American Orchestra.

In 2017 he began to be a student of Maestro Mario Caroli in Strasbourg where in 2018 he finished his specialization with mention: "très bien à l'unanimité avec félicitations du jury" then he started his studies at the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg, where he is currently studying the 3rd semester in flute with Prof. Mario Caroli.

In his life as a soloist he has played with orchestras such as: Sibiu Philharmonic, Simón Bolivar Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of Camera Cittá di Fondi, Yaracuy Symphony Orchestra, among others.
He is currently Flute-Solo in "Badische Staatskapelle Karlsruhe". He continues his studies at the Musikhochschule Freiburg with the Mto. Mario Caroli  and Professor who makes up the board of directors of the Cultural and Educational Musical Foundation for Human Development "OPUS sounds and life", a non-profit organization through which he makes an important musical and social contribution to the young musicians of his country.

Since his arrival in Europe, Etni has won numerous international competitions.

   1st prize at the "Domenico Cimarosa in Italia"

   1rst prize at the  "Concours Artistique d'Epinal-France"

   Golden Medal at the Berliner International Music Competition

 

He has also been awarded the "Pierre Pfimlin" prize in the city of Strasbourg, as the best student of chamber music and flute.

Etni has participated in important festivals such as: "Hands on Research" in Aveiro-Portugal, "Flautissimo" in Rome-Italy, nederlands "Fluit genootschap"in Holland and "Young flutists festival" in Slovenia.
