Currently, his programs focus on the German Romantic music and French Baroque music. His preference of German Romantic Music is mainly influenced by his place of education. Since Mr. An’s early stage of learning, his teachers from Germany and Austria passed on their passion for German music to him. From Salzburg, Austria Mr. An acquainted and appreciated Viennese classical music. From Hamburg, Germany he acquainted the music of romanticism and developed a special predilection for Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms. On the other hand, Mr. An’s interest in French baroque music is influenced from an inner sphere and is closely connected with the memories of his childhood. Above all, the music of Jean-Philippe Rameau and François Couperin made a great impression and until this day he awakens in his naturalness the feeling of a symbiotic bond of his personality.

While music is the greatest passion in his life, there are many more that enriches his passion. Visiting museums, writing about music, or even rowing on river which create not only calmness, but also an inspiration effecting on his musical understanding and the design of his interpretations.

"In the Schumann concerto. masterly, it was far from the struggle between an orchestra and piano: it was on the contrary, an osmosis of all moments in the dynamics and colors, between the soloist and the musicians, giving an incredible force in the proper sense, in this work, with phrases rarely also intelligently discursive and also released."
