The young contralto Lubov Molina launched her career at The III Valeria Barsova Russian Vocalist Competition in Sochi in 2007 where she was awarded the 1st prize and Audience Award. One year later, in 2008, Lubov returned to Sochi with a solo concert together with Sochi Symphony Orchestra. This first success lead her to a number of memorable engagements that are now defining her place in opera. Lubov has been an active soloist of concert stage in Russia, Spain, Italy, France and Germany. Her repertoire includes not only arias from the key works of Russian and European opera classics, but also chamber vocal cycles and works of early music composers of various genres.

 

Lubov has performed with many celebrated orchestras including the Mariinsky Orchestra, the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia (Svetlanov Symphony Orchestra), the State Symphony Orchestra Novaya Rossiya and L’Orchestre du Conservatoire superieur de musique et de danse de Paris. She was also welcomed by A-list concert halls such as Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, Rachmaninov Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, Moscow International House of Music, Kurhaus (Baden-Baden, Germany), Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Aragon (Zaragoza, Spain), Reggia di Caserta (Caserta, Italy). In 2011 Lubov graduated from Gnesin Academy of Music where she was coached by acclaimed opera singer Nina Terentyeva. Lubov is now certified teacher of Vocal Arts. In 2013 Lubov completed her Master’s Degree as an opera singer. In 2009 Galina Vishnevskaya, the legendary Russian opera singer, invited Lubov, still a Genesin Academy student, to join her Opera Center in Moscow, where she had role debuts as Lyubasha in RimskyKorsakov’s Tsar’s Bride and as Olga in Tchaikovky’s Eugene Onegin. Lubov also starred in the production of Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov conducted by Gintaras Rinkevičius and directed by Ivan Popovski in which she performed the roles of Shinkarka and Mamka. In 2011 Lubov was among the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Center featured soloists performing during a celebration of Russia-Italy cross-cultural year. One of the celebration’s highlights was a concert at the legendary Teatro alla Scala.

 

Lubov performed arias written by Russian and foreign composers. Milan audience could also appreciated Lubov’s performance of Marina Mnishek’s duet with Samozvanets from Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov. The same year Lubov took part in celebrating Galina Vishnevskaya anniversary –Vishnevskaya Vivat! Among the events was the production of Eugene Oneginat the Pierre Cardin Theatre in Paris, where Lubov performed the role of Olga. Lubov was a semi-finalist, finalist and winner of several international vocal competitions in Russia, Spain and Czech Republic. In 2014 Vladimir Chernov, serving as the head of the Jury of the International Young Singer’s Competition Vissi D’Arte (Prague, Czech Republic) awarded Lubov with a second prize in the competition. Lubov is constantly enhancing her educational background by attending master classes. In 2012 Lubov was invited to participate in the famous Young Opera Singers Sessions where she sang at master-classes of American opera coaches from The Domingo-Thornton Young Artist Program of Los Angeles Opera. Since 2012 Lubov has been taking regular vocal training sessions with opera coach Elena Batoukova-Kerl. Lubov’s recent engagements include a production of Eugene Onegin in Germany as a part of the official events of Germany-Russia Cross Culture Year, a performance at International Festival Peregrinos Musicales in Santiago de Compostela (Spain), a concert at London’s Cadogan Hall and at the Mstislav Rostropovich International Festival.
